Privacy Policy

RosterShift is a duty-roster app for hospital teams, built and maintained by an independent developer. This policy explains what data RosterShift collects, why, and how it's handled. If anything here is unclear, email support@rostershift.app.
Data we store
To create an account and use a team workspace, RosterShift stores your account details (such as your name and email address) and the roster data your team enters — shifts, rules, requests, and swaps. This data is stored using Supabase, hosted in the EU region, and is only accessible to members of your team workspace.
Duty check-in and location
RosterShift offers an optional on-site duty check-in. When you use it, your device compares your current location to your workplace's coordinates entirely on your phone. Your coordinates are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers — only the resulting yes/no confirmation that a check-in happened is saved to the roster. If you don't use check-in, no location data is ever processed.
Subscriptions and payment
RosterShift Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) with a 30-day free trial, purchased and managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Billing is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which we use to manage subscription status. We do not see or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple. RevenueCat receives an anonymous subscriber identifier and purchase status to keep your subscription in sync across devices.
No ad tracking
RosterShift does not use advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind. Our App Store privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false, and we don't share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email address and selected locale for the sole purpose of sending you TestFlight invitations and launch updates. We don't use this list for anything else. You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry at any time by emailing support@rostershift.app.
Team data and join codes
Teams are joined using a join code shared by your coordinator. Once you join a team workspace, your name and roster activity become visible to other members of that workspace, as is standard for shared scheduling tools. In-app announcements are used to notify the team of roster changes and updates.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and roster data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account or team data deleted, contact support@rostershift.app and we'll process the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as RosterShift evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
