Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of RosterShift, a duty-roster app for hospital teams built and maintained by an independent developer. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use RosterShift.

The service

RosterShift helps hospital teams build, publish, and manage duty rosters, including rest-rule enforcement, fairness tracking, requests and swaps, an optional on-site duty check-in, and PDF export. Accounts and team workspaces are provided to support this purpose.

Your account and team

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your account credentials secure. Teams are joined using a join code shared by a coordinator; anyone with a valid code can join the corresponding workspace, so treat join codes as you would any shared access credential. You're responsible for the roster data, requests, and communications your account submits within a workspace.

Subscriptions

RosterShift Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or annually, purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed with the help of RevenueCat. New subscribers get a 30-day free trial; you won't be charged until the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's own refund policies; we don't process refunds directly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use RosterShift for any purpose other than legitimate duty scheduling for your team
• Attempt to access another team's workspace without a valid join code
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service
• Upload unlawful, abusive, or harmful content into roster fields, requests, or announcements
• Use the service in a way that endangers patient care or misrepresents actual staffing

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Roster accuracy disclaimer

RosterShift is a scheduling tool, not a source of medical, legal, or labor-law advice. Rest rules, fairness weighting, and rosters generated or managed through the app are based on the settings your team configures — you and your team remain responsible for verifying that the resulting roster complies with your institution's policies and applicable labor regulations. RosterShift is provided to assist with scheduling; it does not guarantee compliance with any specific regulatory requirement.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep RosterShift available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed, or removed as the app evolves. We'll do our best to communicate significant changes through in-app announcements or this website.

Limitation of liability

RosterShift is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including scheduling errors, missed shifts, or data loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction relevant to your use of the service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of RosterShift after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
